❤️ About Prescott Ballroom
A Community Built on Joy, Connection & Dance
Prescott Ballroom began in 2004, when Karen and I moved into our new home — a place that soon filled with music, laughter, and the rhythm of partner dancing.
Karen and I had already been dancing together for a few years by then. She became not only my dance partner, but the great love of my life. Together we stepped more deeply into the world of ballroom dancing — training with some of the best instructors across the United States, traveling everywhere from Phoenix and Flagstaff to Hawaii and even Costa Rica.
From 2004 through 2019, we competed as partners — but what mattered most to us was never the medals. It was the people.
Ballroom dancing opened a world of friendship and community. Lessons, socials, workshops, competitions — each one gave us the chance to meet wonderful dancers and share joy on the floor. We loved the way dancing brings people together in such a warm and human way.
Karen passed away in 2023, and she remains a deeply loved and guiding part of Prescott Ballroom. Rather than closing this chapter, I chose to carry forward the spirit we built together — joy, kindness, community, and the simple belief that everyone belongs on the dance floor.
Today, Prescott Ballroom is growing into its next chapter.
While I no longer compete, I now serve as a promoter and host — creating welcoming spaces for people to meet, learn, laugh, and dance. We host events at Prescott Ballroom and monthly Second Friday Social Dances at the Adult Center of Prescott, with more workshops and community dances ahead.
If you’re brand–new — welcome.
If you’ve danced for years — welcome.
If you simply want more joy, movement, and connection in your life — welcome.
Karen and I began this journey together.
And today, the Prescott Ballroom community continues — full of love, music, and new stories still being written.
We’d love for you to be part of it. 💃🕺
Come dance with us — where joy lives on the dance floor.
